The project's goal was to create a singular and original initiative for the Slim Jim community. Our approach emphasized creativity and flexibility, necessitating thorough preliminary research to develop an NFT capable of dynamic metadata modifications.

The NFT collection we aimed to create would:

be completely free, covering all associated gas fees
offer substantial flexibility in NFT metadata, enabling users to alter the appearance and feel of their NFTs anytime without the need to burn or freeze the assets
serve as an educational tool, introducing new users to NFT terminology and providing a detailed introduction to how NFTs function and can be manipulated.

The user experience strategy involved a multi-step UI/UX to draw users from the landing page to the minting process and then to the customization of their Gigajim NFTs. Customization occurs through an off-chain currency known as 'sauces,' which users can blend and apply to their NFTs to enact customizations. This process was also gamified, enhancing the rarity of Gigajim NFTs the more users play and mix their sauces.

The overall style is reminiscent of a flash game website from the late 1990s to early 2000s.

As part of the planning phase, with us as the blockchain development collaborator, we devised a strategy to construct the NFT collection. This strategy includes both on-chain and off-chain elements tailored for the Polygon network.
